Asalamo alikom

You will be aware of the new changes in BIC and the election of a new executive committee. My colleagues and I wish to extend their thanks to all members of the community especially those who participated in the election. May I take this opportunity to thank those who

voted me in and those who didn’t, I would like to ask you at this stage to bury the hatchet, not to dwell on the past and to move forward. I promise all a new era of transparency where all of you will have a say on how to run the Centre who declare there’s no God but Allah and prophet Mohammed is his messenger are brethren and sisters irrespective of their sect. We would like to reach out to all Muslim community of Ireland, UK and Europe. In that respect we will be guided by the Islamic council of Europe.

I would like to see more women t taking part in running the centre and would anticipate seeing some as members of the executive committee in the immediate future.

Our first priority would be to make the Centre a better and a cleaner place able to accommodate the ever increasing number of the community. We will be looking into the different ways and alternatives to achieve that, be it refurbishing the Centre or completely replacing it with a purpose built Centre on the same site. Could I may be ask any of you who is familiar with this kind of a project or those who have any ideas on the subject to E-Mail the manager of the centre intimating their views.

The last thing I want to say to you is that we don’t expect your thanks if we succeeded but would thank you for correcting us if we drift away from the right path for any reason

I would like to see all the Muslim community in N.Ireland united and let me remind you that all

Mohey Ismail
