Trustees of the Belfast Islamic Centre would like to invite all registered members of the Belfast Islamic Centre to participate in the AGM on January 31st 2010 Inshallah after Maghrib prayers (weather permitting) and the elections for the new executive Committee on February 7th 2010 (time will be announced). These are being held at Belfast Islamic Centre, 38 Wellington Park, Belfast, BT9 6DN. The closing date for accepting membership applications (Available at the office and on the website and must be presented by applicant for himself or for his family) will be Friday January the 29th 2010 at Maghrib prayers.You are also invited to nominate candidates for members of the executive committee (President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary and three committee members). The candidate must be a registered member of the Islamic Centre in Northern Ireland for 12 months and should also be able to prove that he/ she has the intention to stay in Northern Ireland for the next 24 months. The closing date for accepting nominations will be at the opening of the AGM on January 31st 2010. Nomination forms can be collected from the office of BIC during working hours. The Trustees will scrutinize all the candidates to make sure they are eligible to be nominated as per the constitution. A list of candidates will be displayed on the BIC notice board well before the election date.
