Pupils and teachers from St. Rose's attended our Eid-Ul-Adha prayer at the Ozone Leisure centre.

Below are some details about St. Rose's. Any muslim who wishes to attend their open day is very welcome.

St. Rose’s is an all ability, all girl school Roman Catholic school under the trusteeship of the Domincan Sisters.

We have a very strong Catholic faith-based ethos, but we welcome girls from other faiths.  At present we have a group of Muslim girls attending the school and it is our aim to help them to feel included in our community as well as to offer them opportunities to progress on their own faith journey.  We have tried to do this by arranging a quiet place for daily prayers, and by making available copies of the Qur’an and prayer mats.  We are now offering a programme of study for Key Stage 3 Religious Education and GCSE Islamic Studies.  The Muslim girls are free to wear the hijab and the school uniform has been altered according to requirements.

The teachers in St. Rose’s have a great amount of experience of teaching international students and experience in supporting students who have English as an additional language.

The school website is: www.stroses.belfast.ni.sch.uk
