School Aims & Objectives

Provide Islamic and Arabic teaching to Muslim children in Northern Ireland
Provide children an opportunity to meet and know each other and thereby strengthen their bond as a Muslim Ummah
Make children aware of Islam and their future role in Muslim society

Code of Conduct
All students MUST arrive on time at 10:25
Students to be picked up after Dhuhr prayer
Parents are expected to perform Dhuhr prayer along with their children.
Students are expected to maintain an atmosphere that is conducive to learning and Islamic behaviour.

Warnings
Any act of misconduct or disrespect by a student may be cause for a warning or suspension from school. Three warnings can result in the suspension of the student for the rest of the year.

Dress Code
We encourage students to respect themselves and adhere to Islamic rules for dress. All girls are encouraged to wear a head cover or Hijab. All students should wear loose fitting modest clothing. Clothes with inappropriate images are not allowed.


Note: The School Principal or a class teacher has the authority to decide whether the clothing is appropriate or not.
Students are not allowed to leave the building without permission at any time.


ARABIC SCHOOL

Childrens Programme
Level One/Beginners

Children who can’t read Arabic
12 week term
Day will consist of three classes:
1) Arabic
2) Islamic Studies
3) Quran

Aims & Objectives

Arabic
• Teach children to recognise the Arabic letters through introducing the shape of each letter to them.
• Teaching how to pronounce each letter in every state of pronunciation ie fatha, kasra, damma.
• To write each letter separately and within a simple word.

Study will be from the first part of “ÊÚáíã ÇáÞÑÇÁÉ æÇáßÊÇÈÉ á쾄 ÇáÍÖÇäÉ”. At the end of the term, each child should be able to read and write some simple words.

Islamic Studies
• Teach about faith and its meaning.
• Teach what it means to be Muslim.
• Teach the names and attributes of Allah.
• Teach the different types of worship and the pillars of Islam.

Study will be from “Islamic Religious Education” (Primary Level).

Quran
Keep children memorizing Surat Al-Fatiha and then on to Surat Qul Huwa, Surat Al-Falaq and Surat Al-Nas.

 


ARABIC SCHOOL
Childrens Programme
Level 2/Intermediate

Children who know Arabic letters but find difficulty in reading and have limited vocabulary.
12 week term
Day will consist of three classes:
1)Arabic
2)Islamic Studies
3)Quran

Aims & Objectives

Arabic
• Teach the children who to read and write from memory some simple word as well as know the meaning for some objects, nouns and verbs in Arabic.
• Teach the children to read, write and form some simple Arabic sentences.

Study will be from “ÊÚáíã ÇáÞÑÇÁÉ æÇáßÊÇÈÉ á쾄 ÇáÍÖÇäÉ”, Part Two.
At the end of the term children will be able to form and write Arabic sentence.

Islamic studies
• Inform the children about the creatures of Allah so as to recognize the existence of Allah.
• Teach the pillars of faith.
• Teach how to perform the ablution and prayer.
• Teach the words of the Adhan and Iqamah.

Study will be from “Islamic Religious Education”, Book 4.

Quran
The children have to memorize from Surat Al-Fatiha to Surat Al-Bainah.


ARABIC SCHOOL
Childrens Programme
Level 3/Advanced

Children who can read and write Arabic and can also read in the Mushaf.
12 week term
Day will consist of three classes:
1)Arabic
2)Islamic Studies
3)Quran

Aims & Objectives

Arabic:
• Keep the children fluent in the reading and writing of Arabic
• Encourage children to express themselves in different day to day situations in Arabic.
• Teach Arabic grammar that will help distinguish between the forms of verbs and nouns (singular, plural, past, present etc).

Study will be from “Lughtunah Alarabiyya”, Part Three.

Islamic studies
• Teach Hadith of morals.
• Take lessons from the biography of the prophet.
Study will be from “Islam beliefs and teachings”.

Quran
Complete memorization of Juz’ Amma.
